After missing the last two rounds of racing at VIR and Summit Point I was HUNGRY to get back out on the track!! Our team was dealing with some internal issues which held us back from racing for a little while! But this weekend the excitement was building up and this is our home track!!! The uncertainty of going left us without pre registration again - I have been working with my Dad's business and my biggest sponsor - we arrived home from a business trip in Long Island around 1pm on Friday - left for the track around 3pm - made it to the track in time for registration to be open - but not tech.... After going thru registration we unloaded the bike and got set up a little. THANK YOU to Bart DeFrancesco for always letting us sleep in his RV!! This weekend with the heat it was really great to get some much needed rest in the AC in a comfy bed...Dad spent some time going over the bike Friday evening while I got to see all my friends and get ready for bed. Saturday morning I woke up and Dad had the bike thru tech and had our awesome MOTO-D tire warmers on in our home for the weekend - The YCRS garage!!! Another great supporter of our program!! Thanks to Tomer Levy for being available all weekend and helping us out!! We had two practice sessions to check the bike out and shake the cobwebs off! Felt good on the bike - felt really good to be back on the bike!!! After the practice sessions we got the bike on warmers and sat down for a little discussion to discuss my laps. With missing the two rounds we weren't worried about times - we wanted to get warmed up and feel good on the bike. I had two races later in the afternoon - so Dad spent some time bleeding the brakes and my mother, sister, and a couple friends showed up to support me!!! We spent some time watching some of the great battles on the track until it was time to get ready for race 8 Middleweight Super Sport - I was gridded way in the back of the second wave - got a great start off the line - and by the end of the first lap had caught a bunch of the first wave racers - made a couple mistakes in this race and ended up finishing 11th. Felt good on the bike - back in the garage we had one race up after the next race - a quick drink - splash of race fuel - some fan time for the helmet and me to cool down - 3rd call for race 10 Heavy Weight Super Sport - this would be a one wave start but I would again be at the back of the huge grid. With an AWESOME start I was up into the middle of the pack into turn 1 - making passes every lap - in one lap I passed 8 riders - was able to bring it home on the podium in 2nd place and run my fastest lap times ever at NJMP. This was also my 2nd weekend on Pirelli tires an 1st weekend at NJMP on Pirelli tires!!! They were feeling good and sticking like glue! Super pumped to finish off the day with podium and doing it with my friends and family there was great!!!
Our rear tire was pretty worn so we had the best Suspension guy in the paddock put a freshy sticky Pirelli on - Thank You Mike Faillace for always taking care of us and selling AWESOME tires!!!

Sunday morning had one practice session as warm up - with the intense heat all day Saturday and the higher heat called for Sunday we only wanted to scrub the new tire in - so I only ran 4 laps. After yesterdays podium we talked about the race and Dad decided to make a couple changes to the bike and give that set up a try in my first race of the day. Sunday was the Team Challenge round of the ASRA Series - I was super pumped to be asked to ride for the Absolute Cycle Race Team on their R6!! This was an 89 lap test of courage, bike, and machine! I was the 4th rider in the line up and ready to do my part!! My stint came - fuel went in - out on track I went and Immediately felt comfortable on the bike, matching my best ever lap times at NJMP on a bike I never rode before!! Unfortunately while in contention for a podium position we were taken out of the race by a mechanical.THANK YOU Roy Cadoo and the Absolute Cycle Race Team!!! My first sprint race of the day was coming up quickly so I got out of the heat an into the AC an cooled down. Warmers went on - 3rd call for race 10 Heavy Weight Super Bike - starting in the back of the grid - got a so so start and had some great battles with some other riders - was able to bring it home in 5th for a top five and again lowering my lap times. Again it was a one race break for my last race of the weekend - some ice in the suit - little AC and some water and 3rd call for race 12 Middle Weight Super Bike - again starting in the back of the HUGE grid I got a terrible start and was 2nd to last into turn 1 - making some great passes thru traffic and matching my best laptimes consistently thru the race I was able to bring it home in 7th.... It felt great to be back on the bike again!!! Thank You to EVERYONE that makes this possible!!! Great support trackside - Justin Levy from Trackside Parts Club always taking care of us as well!!! Living my dream and loving every minute of it!!! Summit Point in a couple weeks - WE WILL BE READY!!!!
